16. Dedicate a drawer to spices. If you have enough spices, maybe it’s worth sacrificing a drawer. Here is what you need to make cute permanent spice jars.
1. Spice Jars. 2. Vellum Paper. 3. Adhesive sheets. 4. Paper cutter. 5. Printer. First, you need to create a template for your larger rounded tops as well as my strips. Then you print the templates onto the vellum. Using the paper cutter, cut on either side of the black lines. You can use a circle cutter for the circles, or you can cut them out by hand. Next, You need to turn the strips and circles into stickers. If you don’t have a fancy sticker machine (the one they use at the craft stores), you can use those adhesive sheets. Here is how they work. You strip the backing off the sheet lay a few of your strips onto the sticky part and then cut them out. (You can also cut the adhesive sheets into the same size as your strips first) Now you have a sticker! So you are ready to put the stickers, just remove the second strip from the back and apply the sticker to the jar. Work from the middle around to apply the sticker without any bubbles. When your jars are finished, fill them with spices! You have to love them. You can alphabetize them or organize them by color or however, you like.
